CTET Mock Test Paper 2

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in primary (Classes I to V) and upper primary (Classes VI to VIII) levels in central government schools. To appear for the CTET exam, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications and age requirements. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria for both Paper 1 and Paper 2:

CTET Paper 1 (Primary Stage: Classes I to V)

Candidates who wish to teach at the primary level must meet one of the following educational qualifications:

1. Senior Secondary (or equivalent) Qualification:

   • Minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
   • Minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
   • Minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
   • Minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

2. Graduation:

   • Passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).

CTET Paper 2 (Upper Primary Stage: Classes VI to VIII)

Candidates who wish to teach at the upper primary level must meet one of the following educational qualifications:

1. Graduation:

   • Passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
   • Minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
   • Minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in the 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

2. Senior Secondary (or equivalent) Qualification:

   • Minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
   • Minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
   • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: There is no minimum age limit for appearing in the CTET exam.
• Maximum Age: There is no maximum age limit for appearing in the CTET exam.

Additional Notes

• Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) may be given relaxation in the qualifying marks in the minimum educational qualification as per the government norms.
