CUET chemistry question paper 2022: Overview

In the past, candidates planning to appear in the CUET UG 2022 Chemistry Examination were informed that the exam would be divided into four special sections. The exam was scheduled to be conducted in a hybrid mode, which means it could be taken online (laptop-based test) or offline (pen and paper mode). That year, candidates were allowed to select up to six subjects instead of ten. The CUET Exam Pattern had been revised by NTA for the year 2024, details of which were tabulated below:

CUET chemistry question paper 2022: Exam Pattern

NTA may also conduct the CUET Entrance Exam in thirteen different shifts which can be Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu. Check the revised exam pattern for CUET paper from here:

  1. CUET might be performed in an internet mode as Computer Based Test-CBT.
  2. The CUET front test might be carried out in three one-of-a-kind slots. The period of the first slot is 120 mins and the duration of the second one slot is 120 minutes. The period of the CUET UG examination for the 1/3 slot is a hundred and eighty minutes.
  3. CUET (UG) – It will include the following four sections particularly-
    • Section IA – thirteen Languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu)
    • Section IB – 20 Languages (French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Sanskrit.)
    • Section II – 27 Domain-precise Subjects (listed beneath)
    • Section III – General Test
  4. The question paper will be Multiple Choice Question type only.
  5. Section IA & IB- A candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together. (One of the languages chosen needs to be in lieu of Domain-specific subjects)
  6. Section II offers 27 Subjects, out of which a candidate may choose a maximum of 6 Subjects.
  7. Section III comprises the General Test.
  8. For each correct answer the candidates will be awarded +5 marks while 01 Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  9. For choosing Languages (up to 3) from Section IA and IB and a maximum of 6 Subjects from Section II and General Test under Section III, the Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended University.
